Due to censorship going rampant and alot of anime/manga sites got attacked and taken down, I’m starting to look into crypto currency as alternative payment method on the site.
So far everything seems to work well. The only problem is just there’s not enough people using it.
I really want to believe in crypto as a payment method as it provides privacy, for both buyers and sellers. And most of all it’s censorship free. I’ll only deal with more established coins. Also there’s positive news in the world that signals a trend toward normalizing crypto. That’s why I recommend everyone to look into it too as preferred payment method as well as a way to combat censorship.
Now the usual payment method is still more convenient, and I understand that using crypto requires a level of trust in me as transactions are pretty much irreversible. That’s why the usual method is still there. But I’d like to completely move away from it if possible. It might be unavailable for me someday due to the whim of certain payment processing companies anyways.
The crypto gateways I implemented are pretty easy to understand I think, but I can make a post to explain it and further talk about my rationale later if needed.

- Gold renamed to AnonGold. You can also buy AnonGold using crypto in the shop.
- Members from lv1 onward can right click to save images.
- Bookmarking feature.
- Gold system. You can earn gold by commenting, voting in polls, adding to bookmark… Which you can use to exchange for stuff in the shop.
